Chuck sent Eliza, Roger’s mother, a holiday center piece. The table was too full of food to display it properly on Thanksgiving Day, but it was much admired after the feast was consumed.

On Friday, Dorothy, Valerie’s mother, and Eliza posed in front of the stuffed animal tree. This was at the Festival of Trees in Davenport, Iowa. Roger squired the moms around while I sat outside and enjoyed the sunny day.
