Roger and I drove to Baltimore to take my mother to dinner for her birthday which is next week. We went to Ploughboy Soup at Atwater’s at the Belvedere Square. We tried all of the 3 available soups & two of the sandwiches. Afterwards, we had dessert in another part of the market. It was just the right thing on a rainy Saturday.

thank you for your prompt attention to my request. also, i finally caught up with betsy last sunday after church and the bookthing and we had brunch at her place and she gave me my birthday present from you all. thank you. i reallly did covet that flashlight but of course wouldn’t buy it for myself as i already have a flashlight!! but not such a high tech one. just think, no more battries!
