Calendar Quilt – March

bom_marchOne of my favorite months – March is here! This month is going to be busy. I plan to compete and work at three local orienteering meets. I am also timing four trail runs from distances of 5 miles to 50 kilometers.

Snow Day

A nice Sunday snowfall. It was supposed to start early yesterday but didn’t roll in until about 5 PM. Tried to get a good picture of a cardinal, but it isn’t close enough. I will have to investigate telephoto lenses again…

Soup with Mom!

Roger and I drove to Baltimore to take my mother to dinner for her birthday which is next week. We went to Ploughboy Soup at Atwater’s at the Belvedere Square. We tried all of the 3 available soups & two of the sandwiches. Afterwards, we had dessert in another part of the market. It was just the right thing on a rainy Saturday.

A Day O’ Training

training_groupdavid_finishPeggy offered to put on a training day for women in conjunction with QOC’s meet the next day. The idea was started in Sandy’s Attackpoint log… Too bad there weren’t more women in attendance… Oh well, it was a beautiful day, and even though I only did half of the sessions, I had a great time. I was especially proud of my efforts on the second exercise – a Zig Zag Compass course – you had to go to the controls as straight as possible regardless of the terrain. Here are the tracks from my Forerunner 301.
Thanks to everyone involved.
