Roger and I bought a new hibiscus yesterday. It was a bargain. We were afraid that it wasn’t gong to the color that we wanted, and we wouldn’t know until it bloomed next year. But it was in bloom this morning! A great late summer surprise, and just the color we had been looking for.
Love the spiral shape of the petals! And it’s a beautiful color.
Still too far north here to consider hibiscus (though it may not stay that way for long…).
Not as large as the dinner plate size we were trying to replace, but the color is lovely. Yes, I appreciate that fact that we have hibiscus which can over winter. Roger loves tall plants, and these tend to require little in the way of additional support.
Nice photo!
